Confucius in Official Costume

The statue is supposed to be painted by Gu Kaizhi in the Jin dynasty (266-420), but some believe it to be painted by Wu Daozi in the Tang dynasty (618-907). Dressed in official costume, Confucius looks upright and steadfast.
